Laura was born in Bogotá, Colombia. She was a visiting scholar with the Sustainable Transportation Systems Research Group during her senior year studying civil engineering at National University of Colombia, from the Undergraduate Research Experience Purdue-Colombia program. Her interest includes transportation planning and sustainable transportation systems.
